Potential Shareholders in the Bat and Ball Invited to Register Interest

Assuming the Hambledon Club’s bid for the Bat and Ball will be successful, the Club is currently turning itself into a limited company, and ultimately a trust.

As a viable business with a long track record, the Bat and Ball is likely to interest cricket supporters wishing to become shareholders.

As a trust, an annual distribution of 90 per cent of profits to shareholders will be necessary to avoid paying corporation tax.

The Hambledon Club is therefore inviting potential shareholders to register their interest in receiving a prospectus. It is likely that a few hundred shares will be available at £1000 each.

For a prospectus, please write to:

  • Ashley Mote, President, Hambledon Club,
  • PO Box 216, Alton, Hampshire, GU34 4WY

Ashley Mote can be contacted on 07836 220223
