How to make a booking

The secretary will contact the membership six weeks before the event, or members are welcome to email or call the club secretary to make a booking:

  • Email: lyndia.allen@yahoo.co.uk
  • Landline: 02392 348131
  • Mobile: 07726 330339

When booking, please provide the names of people in your party and any special dietary requirements. Please do not make your booking directly with the Bat & Ball Inn; it will not be accepted.

Prepayment required when booking

The full cost of the meal will be required by members, and their guest, prior to the event, via bank transfer (or by cheque) when making a booking. Please go here for bank details. Cheques should be sent to: Dave Allen, Club Treasurer, 3 South Normandy, Portsmouth, PO1 2ES. A final confirmation of the booking will be sent upon receipt of payment.

Booking with guests (one guest per member)

Due to limited seating capacity in the dining room, guest bookings will be confirmed four weeks prior to the luncheon date.

Cancellation policy

The Bat & Ball management will charge members, or their guests, the full cost of the lunch if

  • cancellations are made less than 36 hours before the luncheon date, or
  • no-show on the day.

All cancellations should be notified directly to the secretary outside the timeframe above. If applicable, full refunds will be made by the secretary in accordance with the cancellation policy, on the day following the luncheon date.

Apologies

A luncheon reminder will be sent 2 weeks prior to the day. However, we kindly request that members forward their apologies if they cannot attend to prevent another reminder being sent. Thank you.
