Review: In the past two years Hampshire, Yorkshire, Middlesex, and Lancashire have all celebrated the 150th anniversary of the formation of their county cricket clubs. These have been accompanied by publications and other events, but Sussex is ahead of them all, and in 2014 been celebrating its 175th anniversary as the senior county cricket club. They have published an A4 softback pictorial history with four editors, including our own Roger Packham. It is almost an unofficial guide to their excellence and developing museum, and highly recommended (£20, pages 235).
